The Harvard Business School (HBS) Club of Wisconsin, in partnership with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, is honored to announce Peter Feigin, President of the Milwaukee Bucks and Fiserv Forum, as the 2022 Business Leader of the Year (BLOY).
Mr. Feigin's dynamic leadership, innovative spirit and commitment to the community have made him a beacon in the Wisconsin business landscape. He joins a storied lineage of BLOY awardees, recognized for their exemplary business acumen, groundbreaking innovations and dedication to community involvement.
Reflecting on the honor, Peter Feigin shared, "I'm thrilled for this recognition and proud to bring a spotlight onto emerging business and community leaders across Wisconsin."
The celebratory dinner, set for Tuesday, Oct. 3, promises a night of reflection, inspiration and appreciation. In a nod to Mr. Feigin's impactful contributions to the sports and entertainment sectors, the venue for this year's gathering will be none other than the court at Fiserv Forum.
All proceeds from the event will fund scholarships for Wisconsin's non-profit leaders, offering them an opportunity to attend a transformative week of executive education at Harvard Business School. The Club has funded more than 60 scholarships in the past 24 years.
Lisa Wright, Vice President of the BLOY Award, emphasized the broader mission of the initiative, stating, "Great leadership fuels great leaders. The HBS Club of Wisconsin's tradition of honoring business excellence empowers our state's non-profit leaders with immersive education that helps them make a tangible impact on the various communities they serve."
Earlier this year, the HBS Club of Wisconsin awarded scholarships to three exemplary leaders: Abby Andrietsch, President and CEO of St. Augustine Prep; Laura Gutierrez, CEO of United Community Center; and Sophia Torrijos, Executive Director of Friedens Community Ministries, Inc. Torrijos shared her experience at Harvard Business School, stating, "What an incredible privilege to learn alongside 150 of some of the most inspiring non-profit leaders in the world. I left the week with new ideas, a renewed commitment and great new friends."
The evening will commence with a reception at 5:30 p.m., leading into the dinner and award ceremony.
